Little Compton, RI--Peter Morse is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design. His fine art includes bronze commissioned sculptures, steel garden sculptures, abstract paintings, and figure drawings. Peter’s functional art includes a line of stainless steel and aluminum furniture which he produces through his design firm, Ferrous Non Ferrous which he founded in 1997. The color and texture of objects are extremely important to his aesthetic, as are form and sense of space. He has been commissioned for numerous interior design projects, but most notably for a Providence restaurant where he designed a curved stainless steel sushi bar with a formed bronze rail that was inspired by the image of the rising sun and Japanese esthetics, a bronze cocktail bar with steel floating octopus and a school of stainless steel tuna.
